Fine / The End
2018, photolitho, 100 x 70 cm
Special edition for Paolo Della Grazia
(Production: Laboratorio d'Arte Grafica, Modena)
Edition of 10 + 10 AP, numbered and signed
The work was originally in Italian (2008, pigment print) and in 2018 I made a photolitho edition as a composition of 4 pages in 4 languages: Italian, English, French, and German.
The work Fine (2008) consists of a scan of the last page of Zeno’s Conscience, a psychoanalytic novel by Italo Svevo, published in 1923. He had an apocalyptic vision of a great explosion, several years before the atomic bomb came to be. 100 years later, his vision remains more current than ever.
