(...) "It was me. Diary 1900-1999" is also an autobiographical work. It is a sort of calendar where Comani personally narrates 365 different days belonging to different years. She does this as if this had happened to her, impersonating Hirohito, Hitler or Einstein. It is history read through the filter of the ego. History is us. Instigator and victim at the same time.

(...) Scheinbar autobiographisch ist auch die Arbeit "Ich war's. Tagebuch 1900-1999", für die sie die Form eines Kalenders wählt. Daniela Comani ist als Ich-Erzählerin Zeugin von Ereignissen an 365 Tagen, die sie aus dem gesamten 20. Jahrhundert auswählt. Sie berichtet von ihnen so, als ob all dies ihr selbst passiert wäre, als ob sie einmal Hirohito, dann Hitler oder Einstein gewesen sei; die Geschichte wird von ihr durch den Filter des eigenen Ich wahr genommen. Die Geschichte sind wir, ihre Täter und Opfer zugleich.

(...) Di taglio autobiografico è anche "Sono stata io. Diario 1900-1999". Una sorta di calendario, in cui in prima persona Comani testimonia 365 giorni diversi, accaduti in anni diversi. Lo fa come se queste cose fossero capitate a lei, come se di volta in volta fosse Hirohito, Hitler o Einstein. Si tratta della storia letta attraverso il filtro dell'io. La storia siamo noi.
